You're going to be in Bellingham but not Seattle??

Nowhere near Florida! Are you avoiding us down here in the sunshine state? But seriously, have an awesome tour!

Good luck on your tour!

I've received more e-mails today from people wondering why I'm not going to Seattle and Florida than anywhere else. Too funny!

I actually did a bunch of signings in Florida just four months ago, and will hopefully be doing another one in Orlando this October. And I'll be near Seattle next April for an SCBWI conference. So if anyone should complain, it should not be Seattle or Florida!!!

(Now, why hasn't anyone asked me to come out to Hawaii???)

Thank you, Lisa!

I'm in Fargo, ND guess I just knew better than to ask. :)

What about Pennsylvania? Two New Jerseys and zero PA.

Should I drive to NJ or do you have secret plans to visit PA one day?

You know what Asher?
I'm not even going to say anything.
You know what I'm thinking! I need the number of your lit agent, please..... ;)

No North Dakota this time. But I'm thinking of putting together a driving tour of your region sometime next year so I can re-visit Wyoming, which is where I lived briefly when I began writing this book.

I'll be in Philadelphia in late November for a couple conferences and maybe a bookstore. But why chance it? Road trip!

(Geez...I didn't know I was going to have to defend myself so much with this post!!!)

Actually, I was just picking on you because you always write back to people, and I thought it would be cool to have you write back to me.

13 Reasons Why is awesome. Thanks for writing it.

See you somewhere on the East Coast.

Hey, have fun in Naperville! A couple of years ago, it was in FORBES for one of the best places to move.

It'll be interesting to see if you agree.

Jay Asher said...

C-L, I'm trying. I told my German publisher that if they want me to come out, I'm more than willing!

So what you're saying, Marie, is that you manipulated a response out of me. Well, I won't be falling for that one a...D'oh!

K.M., see ya there!

And Jennie, thanks for telling me that. It'll be fun to keep that in mind while I'm there.

Congrats on the NY Times list!

I have to agree with Karen Amanda Hooper. Why am I always unable to meet an author that has written an amazing book? Do I really need to travel out of state? Although, it all would be well worth it.

I do understand that Florida can be a little toasty, but I wouldn't doubt it if you had some fans here. My creative writing teacher did recommend your book to all of her classes...

Heard Portland's nice this time of year...

Genoveva, I've added Texas to my Must List! And I can't wait to see more of your YouTube videos!

Diandra Mae, thank you! (Next week will be 39!!!)

Brittany, I love your creative writing teacher!

Suzanne, Portland always rocks!

And thus concludes my comment with the most exclamation points...

:::banging head on desk::: Northern Cali Jay!! Please, pretty please!

So excited and happy for all your success. You deserve it. 13RW is an amazing book. (I've read it twice and the audio three times.) My son, who doesn't read, listened to it then begged me to buy the book AND read it. Thank you! Thank you!
